引擎爆炸，乘客被吸出窗外，机长沉着迫降: 美国客机上演惊魂一刻!

这两天，发生在美国的一起客机险些坠机事件被外媒刷屏：引擎爆炸、窗户破碎、有人被吸出舱外、乘客现场直播、所有人命悬一线、千钧一发之际女机长力挽狂澜……总之，整个事件惊心动魄，异常惊险。今天，世纪君就来为大家梳理一下事件始末，还原现场惊魂一幕。

美东时间17日上午10:45左右，一架载有144名乘客和五名机组人员的美国西南航空客机737-700从达拉斯飞往纽约，在位于费城上空32000英尺高度时，飞机一个引擎突然发生爆炸，航班上的所有人命悬一线。

突发意外，引擎爆炸，女乘客上半身被吸出窗外！

起飞后的前20分钟，飞机感觉很平稳。然而，伴随着一声巨响，飞机开始剧烈颠簸！

根据乘客Marty Martinez回忆， “大约五秒钟后，氧气面罩应声落下。我马上就意识到出事儿了，就是不知道具体是什么问题。”

For about 20 minutes, everything seemed calm. Then "a loud boom" suddenly jolted the plane, passenger Marty Martinez said. "About five seconds later, all the oxygen masks deployed," he said. "I immediately knew something was wrong. It just didn't register what could have been." 

发生爆炸的引擎碎片击碎了客舱的一个窗户玻璃，坐在窗户旁边的一名女乘客半个身体直接就被吸出窗外！

Debris from an engine failure broke open a plane window. And what was most dire was a female passenger being sucked into the hole where the window had been.

Martinez当时的座位与这位女乘客之间隔了两排。据他回忆称，当时飞机在急速下降，乘客们试图将这名妇女拉回舱内，并尝试用衣物填补舷窗窟窿，但这些衣物都被吸出了窗外。

As the plane quickly descended and passengers continued scrambling to pull the woman away from the window, other passengers stuffed clothes and jackets into the hole, said Martinez, who was sitting two rows away from the woman. Those items got sucked out of the plane, too, he said.

"We could feel the air from the outside coming in, and then we had smoke kind of coming in the window," Martinez said.

"The engine exploded and when it exploded it broke a window in row 17," Martinez said. "That window caused all the oxygen to go out ... a woman was injured ... there was blood everywhere."

“一个带着牛仔帽的男士向前冲了几排，想要把她拉进来，但是那个女士的身体已经被吸出了机舱，他没办法一个人把她拉回来。后来另一个男士也跑过去帮忙，终于把她拉了回来。”

Passenger Alfred Tumlinson told the Associated Press that a man in a cowboy hat rushed forward a few rows "to grab that lady to pull her back in. She was out of the plane. He couldn't do it by himself so another gentleman came over and helped to get her back in the plane and they got her."

另一位来自加利福尼亚的乘客埃里克•齐尔伯特也表示：“女乘客的腰部以上都被吸到了飞机外。”

Another passenger, Eric Zilbert, said: 'From her waist above, she was outside of the plane.'

在飞机紧急降落的过程中，机上的一位护士Peggy Williams为被拉回的女士进行了约20分钟的CPR抢救。Peggy说：“我们为她做了20分钟CPR，直到飞机降落还在做。我们尽力了。”

A nurse aboard the flight performed CPR."We started CPR on the lady, which we continued for about 20 minutes. We were still doing CPR when the plane landed," Peggy Williams said. "We made every effort that we could possibly make to save this woman's life."

乘客临时花8美金买wifi开现场直播

面对突发状况，很多乘客感受到了绝望。来自纽约的Amanda Bourman表示，自己只记得当时紧紧握住了丈夫的手，能做的只有祈祷、祈祷、祈祷。“头脑中想到的都是我的女儿，我希望能再见到她们，拥抱她们，不让她们失去自己的父母。”

"I just remember holding my husband's hand, and we just prayed and prayed and prayed," said passenger Amanda Bourman, of New York. "And the thoughts that were going through my head of course were about my daughters, just wanting to see them again and give them a big hug so they wouldn't grow up without parents."

Martinez则是花了8美金开通了机上Wifi，用脸书直播了舱内状况，他说当时想着“记录他在这个世界的最后时刻”！

He said that there was Wi-Fi on the plane so he was able to stream a Facebook video that showed him wearing an oxygen mask as the plane descended into Philly."I thought I was cataloging the last moments of my existence," Martinez said.

经历了劫后余生的Martinez表示，这是一次硬着陆，他不确定飞机是否会坠毁，也许降落在高速公路上他也不知道呢。“但当飞机最终安全着陆后，所有人都喜极而泣，感谢自己还活着。”

Martinez said it was a rough landing, and he wasn't sure if the plane was going to crash. The jet could have been landing on a freeway for all he knew, he said."Finally when we ... came to a halt, of course, the entire crowd was (in) tears and people crying and we were just thankful to be alive."

女机长临危不乱，冷静操作

与舱内乘客形成鲜明对比的是女机长Tammie Jo Shults 的反应处理。关键时刻，她临危不乱，驾驶这架只剩下一个引擎的飞机安全迫降，最终拯救了整个航班，避免了一次可怕的大型空难。但遗憾的是，被吸出窗外的女乘客还是不幸身亡。

乘客们在飞机迫降成功后纷纷感谢机组人员的力挽狂澜。

事件发生时，在空管录音中， Shults的声音镇静缓慢，描述了在30000英尺高空的紧急事态——当时她要做的就是驾驶这架引擎故障的飞机降落。

In air traffic control audio, Tammie Jo Shults spoke calmly and slowly, describing the emergency unfolding more than 30,000 feet in the air -- all the while trying to land a plane with engine failure.

Shults在与空管的对话中，用最简略的话语说明了飞机状况，并迅速确定了航班将在费城迫降。根据事后录音，这些对话仅发生在几分钟之内，可见Shultz思路清晰。

此外，Shults还提出了一个更为实际的要求：“你能帮我们在跑道上安排医护人员吗？我们有乘客受伤了。”

Speaking briefly about the emergency landing the plane would have to make in Philadelphia, she asked matter-of-factly: "Could you have the medical meet us there on the runway as well? We've got injured passengers."

Air traffic control responded: "Injured passengers, OK. And is your airplane physically on fire?"

Shultz：“不，没有着火，但是有一部分不见了，他们说飞机上有个洞，有人掉出去了。”

"No, it's not on fire," she replied. "But part of it is missing. They said there's a hole and that someone went out."

空管“抱歉，你说飞机上有洞，然后有人掉出去了？西南航空1380，没有关系，我们会尽力解决问题。”

The controller responded: "Um, I'm sorry. You said there was a hole and somebody went out? Southwest 1380 it doesn't matter we will work it out there."

根据Flightradar24.com网站提供的数据，飞机在5分钟多一点的时间内，从31684英尺下降到10000英尺。

The plane went from an altitude of 31,684 feet to about 10,000 feet in a little more than five minutes, according to data from Flightradar24.com.

乘客Johnson表示飞机陡然下降，但是机长“夺回控制权”，并且告知乘客飞机将前往费城。

The plane descended precipitously, passenger Kristopher Johnson said, but the pilot "regained control" and informed passengers the flight was headed to Philadelphia.

女机长曾是战斗机飞行员

机长Shults关键时刻力挽狂澜，也让乘客们对她充满感激之情。不过在一份与副机长Daren Ellisor的联合声明中，Shults认为她做的工作理所应当。

The way Captain Tammie Jo Shults handled the emergency has been applauded by passengers, but in a joint statement with First Officer Daren Ellisor, the captain shrugged off praise for their actions.

“我们都觉得这是我们份内的工作，我们的心情沉重。我们代表所有机组成员，感谢公众和同事给我们的支持，也对遇难者的家庭深表哀悼。”

"We all feel we were simply doing our jobs," Shults and Ellisor said in a statement posted on the airline's social media pages. "Our hearts are heavy. On behalf of the entire crew, we appreciate the outpouring of support from the public and our coworkers as we all reflect on one family's profound loss."

据媒体报道，Shults从小就有飞行的梦想，在经历几次挫折之后，终于成功成为美国海军飞行员。她也是美国海军的第一批女飞行员之一，在加州的代号为VAQ-34的战术电子战中队服役。之后，她成为EA-6B 徘徊者电子战机以及F/A-18战斗机的指导员。

As one of the Navy's first female fighter pilots, she served in VAQ-34, a tactical electronic warfare squadron out of Point Mugu, California。She later was an instructor for the EA-6B Prowler, an electronic warfare plane and for the F/A-18, a carrier-capable combat jet, the records show.

退役之后，Shults成为了民航驾驶员，加入了西南航空。在这次惊险的事故中，她凭借自己的丰富经验和沉着冷静，将损失降低到了最低。
