The company behind QQ, Tencent, has applied for a trademark for this well-known sound, and this application has recently been approved. There are many sounds in the world that you might be familiar with, but just can’t remember where you heard it. If you hear a sound that you’ve heard five years ago, do you think you’ll be able to remember it?

腾讯几年前给这个极具代表性的QQ提示音申请了版权，最近该申请终于审批通过。我们在生活中会听到很多声音，常常觉得耳熟但怎么也想不起来。如果你现在听到一个五年前听过的声音，你还能回忆起来吗？

Today, we’re doing something a little bit different but very special. We’re hosting the Sound Challenge, where we’re inviting in our co-workers to test out their abilities to remember sounds.

所以今天我们打算尝试一个不同的玩法，邀请同事们参加一场“声音大挑战”，考验一下他们对声音的记忆力。

The rules are simple: We’ll be testing you in three categories: ringtones, songs, and famous lines from movies and TV shows. If you think you know the answer, ring the bell. The first one to get the correct answer wins and gets to keep playing. The loser will have to go and the next player will come in. The prize for the winner includes a big romantic meal with full service at our local organic Michelin ten-star China Daily canteen restaurant.

规则很简单，我们准备了三组声音：铃声，歌曲，电影和电视剧台词。如果你知道答案，请按铃。第一个答对的人可以留在场上，答错的则被淘汰，换下一位选手上场。我们为冠军准备了丰厚的奖励，那就是我们报社食堂的豪华米其林十星浪漫午餐。

As you can see, naming out a familiar sound and identifying the source might be harder than you think it is. Our contestants have tried but some have miserably failed. Better luck next time?
