刚刚出版几周，米歇尔奥巴马的回忆录就成了2018畅销书……

名人出书早已司空见惯，不过像美国前第一夫人米歇尔•奥巴马这样，书刚一出就立马畅销的场面，那就不多见了！

据《赫芬顿邮报》网站报道，米歇尔的回忆录《成为》当选2018年畅销书。

Michelle Obama’s memoir, Becoming, is this year’s bestselling book.




上周五，企鹅兰登宣布，《成为》精装本的销量，已经超过本年度其他书籍的销量。而这本回忆录在美国和加拿大的总销量，包括各种形式和版本，已经超过200万份。

Last Friday, Penguin Random House announced that the hardcover edition of the former US first lady’s book has sold more copies than any other book published this year. Over 2 million copies, in all formats and editions, have been sold in the United States and Canada alone.

企鹅兰登方面还表示，《成为》精装本在美加两国会先后6次印刷，出版340万本。这一数据超过其他今年在美国出版的书籍。《成为》于11月13日面世，而在上市首日就售出72.5万册，成为该出版社今年单日销量冠军！

The publisher also said the hardcover edition will have 3.4 million copies in print in the U.S. and Canada after six printings, beating out all other books published in the U.S. this year. Becoming was released on Nov. 13 and sold a whopping 725,000 copies on just its first day in print, the highest single-day sales of any book by the publisher this year.



不仅如此，根据出版社的统计，《成为》在很多其他地方的非小说类畅销书榜上也高居榜首，包括英国、德国、法国、意大利、荷兰、西班牙、丹麦、挪威、芬兰和希腊。

The book is also a bestseller around the world, topping the adult nonfiction rankings in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Greece, Penguin Random House said.

《成为》记录了米歇尔从芝加哥的小女孩，成为美国第一夫人的历程。书中同样还描述了她对现任美国总统特朗普的尖锐批评。
"Becoming" chronicles Obama's path from a child growing up in the South Side of Chicago to her time as first lady of the United States. The book also features Obama's harshest public criticism of President Donald Trump. 

米歇尔写道她“永远不会原谅”特朗普传播奥巴马“出生证明”的阴谋论。

She writes that she will "never forgive" Trump for spreading the baseless "birther" conspiracy theory that Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

此前白宫方面出具的出生证明，显示奥巴马生于夏威夷。


“整个事件都是疯狂且卑鄙的，当然，这其中的偏执和和仇外情绪也无法掩饰。但是这很危险，故意去挑唆那些疯子和傻子。如果有人荷枪实弹的闯入华盛顿可怎么办？如果有人盯上我们女儿怎么办？特朗普，以及他高调鲁莽的影射，让我家人的安全受到了威胁。鉴于此，我永远不会原谅他。”

The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.



而得知这一说法的特朗普，自然是怼回去：她写书拿了不少钱，他们总要有点争议才好。

In response to the memoir, Trump told reporters: “She got paid a lot of money to write a book and they always insist that you come up with controversial.”

未来几周，米歇尔将在全球各地推介新书，其中包括伦敦、巴黎、底特律和丹佛等城市。

Obama is currently on a book tour promote Becoming and is slated to hit London, Paris, Detroit, Denver and other cities in the next few weeks.
