大家双十一剁手都剁得愉快吗?已经收到了多少包裹呢?

总之,在大家的疯狂剁手之下,天猫“双十一”全天的成交额又破了纪录:2135亿元(约307亿美元)!!!

Chinese shoppers snapped up a record $30.7 billion of merchandise Sunday through e-commerce giant Alibaba, in celebration of a recently invented holiday called Singles Day, China’s equivalent of the U.S.’ Black Friday.

咳咳,希望各位在下个月还账单的时候,一切都好……

不过港真,在光棍节这一普天同庆的日子里,就算是作为“双十一编外人员”,也是可以看场“双十一晚会”的嘛~

今年晚会还请到了超模米兰达·可儿(Miranda Kerr),女神在现场不断比心,还唱了首中文歌~

Western celebrities including model Miranda Kerr were on hand to encourage the orgy of online consumerism. Kerr plugged her skincare line before attempting to sing a few bars of a popular Chinese song.

Find a native speaker.

One of the best ways to improve your new language skills is to practice speaking with a native speaker. They will easily be able to correct any grammar or pronunciation mistakes you make and can introduce you to more informal or colloquial forms of speech that you won't find in a textbook.

提高语言水平的最佳方式之一是与母语者练口语。他们很容易就能指出你所犯的语法或者发音错误,并且教会你一些课本上找不到的更加通俗的口语用语。

If you have a Mandarin-speaking friend who is willing to help, that's great! If you can't locate any Mandarin-speakers nearby, try QQ. It's a chat tool popular in China, in there you can find many language learning groups/rooms, most people there are learning English. They will be glad to talk to you.

如果你有会说普通话的朋友愿意帮忙,那简直太棒了。如果你身边没有讲普通话的人,那么试试看QQ这款中国热门聊天软件吧~你会在里面找到许多语言学习群/聊天室,里面大多数人都在学英语。他们会很乐意与你交流。

2.报班上课

Consider signing up for a language course.

If you need some extra motivation or feel you would learn better in a more formal setting, try signing up for a Chinese language course.

如果你需要一点额外的动力,或者觉得自己在更正式的环境下能学得更好,那么试试看报班上中文课。

Look out for language courses advertised at local colleges, schools or community centers.

找找看当地高校、学校或者社区中心是否有推广的语言课程。

3.看中国电影和动画片

Watch Chinese films and cartoons.

Get your hands on some Chinese DVDs (with subtitles) or watch Chinese cartoons online. This is an easy, entertaining way to get a feel for the sound and structure of the Mandarin Chinese language.

买些带字幕的中国DVD或者在网上看中国动画片。这是获得中文语感的一种简单又有趣的方式。

If you're feeling particularly proactive, try pausing the video after a simple sentence and repeat what has just been said. This will lend your Chinese accent an air of authenticity!

如果你特别有学习积极性的话,试着在简单句后暂停视频,重复这个句子。这会令你的中文口音有种地道的感觉。

而在歪果仁的知乎Quora上,好几位网友都安利起了动画片《喜羊羊与灰太狼》↓↓↓

@Kevin Dewalt:

I started watching episodes of 喜羊羊与灰太狼.  I could not (and still can't) follow the dialog at full speed, so my teacher would transcribe the dialog for me and I would study it as well.  With my teacher I would explain the entire episode to her, ask questions, and attempt to use the new words and grammar from the episode.  When I could watch it at full speed and understand everything I would move on.  Sometimes I would have to see the same word multiple times before getting it.

我看《喜羊羊与灰太狼》。无论是当时还是现在,我都不太能跟上正常语速下的对话,所以我的老师会为我写下对话,让我学习。在老师的帮助下,我能向她解释整集的内容,问问题,并且试着使用这一集中的新词和语法。能在正常语速下观看全集,并且理解所有内容时,我就会跳到下一集。有时我也会反复看同一个词,直到我能理解它。

@Daniel Tedesco:

Start with children's TV shows online. But spend the entire time listening and reading the subtitles (Chinese TV shows almost always have subtitles). I suggest 喜羊羊与灰太狼. When you get good enough, stop watching cartoons. Watch the news and Chinese movies. Keep reading the subtitles, though.

从网上的儿童节目开始看起,将所有的时间都花在听力和阅读字幕上(中国电视节目几乎都有字幕)。我建议看《喜羊羊与灰太狼》。当你水平够好了,就从卡通片改为看新闻和中国电影,继续阅读字幕。

4.听中文歌和广播

Listen to Chinese music and radio.

Listening to Chinese music and/or radio is another good way to surround yourself in the language. Even if you can't understand everything, try to pick out keywords to help you get the gist of what's being said.

听中文歌或者广播是营造中文语言环境的又一种好方法。就算你听不懂所有内容,试着挑出关键词,帮助你理解大意。

(世纪君画外音:周董的歌就算了吧,毕竟中国人自己也不一定能听懂233333)

来感受一下Quora上歪果仁网友分享的学中文歌单,感觉一下回到了N年前……

5.去中国旅游

Consider taking a trip to China.

Once you feel comfortable with the basics of Mandarin Chinese speech, consider taking a trip to China. What better way to immerse yourself in the Mandarin language than a journey to its native land!

当你认为自己已经掌握了基本的中文会话,不如考虑去中国旅行吧。没有什么方式比前往中国旅游更能让自己沉浸在中文当中了~

6.别太为难自己

Don't be too harsh on yourself.

Learning a language is a gradual process - you have to keep at it. Chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn, so take your time.
